CAREER
A tremendous sprinter who played a valuable role on several All-America relay teams … Part of three honorable mention All-America relay teams and two school record-setting relay squads after transferring from Arizona in 2007 … Ranked seventh all-time at LSU in the 50-yard freestyle … Held the team’s second-fastest time in the 50 free in both his junior and senior seasons. 

SENIOR SEASON (2008-09)
Proved to be one of the SEC’s best freestyle sprinters and a vital part of LSU’s relay success … Earned a pair of honorable mention All-America accolades and shattered two school records as the anchor of the 200 freestyle and medley relays … Spearheaded a 12th-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay at the NCAA Championships with a team-best split of 19.42 … Swam the third leg of the men’s All-America 400 freestyle relay squad, which placed 16th with a time of 2:55.39 … Also competed in the 50 free at NCAA’s, recording a mark of 20.11 … Anchored the men’s 200 freestyle relay to a school-record time of 1:17.82 at Georgia’s Last Chance Meet … Claimed 11th-place overall in the 50 sprint at the SEC Championships with a time of 19.90 … Posted a personal-best time of 19.82 in the prelims of that race, which was seventh-fastest in school history … Also played a key role on the Tigers’ fifth-place 200 medley relay squad … Swam to a career-best time of 49.94 in the 100 butterfly to take 25th at Texas A&M’s Art Adamson Invitational … Placed 21st in the 100 free (45.93) at the same meet … Also a member of both runner-up relay squads in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays in College Station, Texas … Won the 50 free at the LSU Invitational, reaching the wall in 21.22 … Took second in the 100 free at the same meet … Part of a 1-2-3 LSU finish in the 50 free in a win over Alabama.

JUNIOR SEASON (2007-08)
Provided an immediate impact in his first season with the Tigers … Earned honorable mention All-America honors as the anchor of LSU’s record-setting 200 freestyle relay squad (1:18.46) at the NCAA Championships … Spearheaded a third-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay at the SEC Championships (1:18.85) with a 50-yard split of 19.61 … Narrowly missed the final round of the 50 free at the SEC’s with the team’s second-best mark of the season (20.34) … Also tallied a season-best time in the 100 free (45.84) at the SEC’s … Played a vital role on the winning 200 freestyle relay squad at the Georgia Tech Invitational … Secured the top spot in the ‘B’ final of the 50 free (20.39) at the same meet … Led the 200 free relay team to victory against the fifth-ranked Florida Gators … Part of four winning relay teams and one runner-up squad during the season … Captured second in the 100-back versus Delta State … Earned his first varsity letter.

FRESHMAN, SOPHOMORE SEASONS (2005-07 AT ARIZONA)
Swam sprint freestyle at Arizona for two seasons and transferred to LSU … Finished 23rd in the 50 free (20.94) and 33rd in the 100 free at the 2006 Pac-10 Championships … Brings in career-best times of 20.50 and 45.50 in the 50 and 100-free events, respectively.

PRIOR TO LSU
A three-time All-Dade county and team captain at Palmetto High School … Placed second in the 100 freestyle and third in the 50 free as a senior at the state championships … Currently holds the 50 free record at Palmetto (20.88) … Coached by Andy DeAngulo.
