Tigers Eliminated from Ragin’ Cajun Invitational

LAFAYETTE, La. — All three Tigers in the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajun Invitational were eliminated from their draws in Saturday’s matches.

Paul White could not overcome the tournament’s top seed, No. 92-ranked Amanjot Singh of ULL. He fell 6-2, 7-5.

Kevin Dessauer ran out of gas in the third set of his match against Sandy Farquharson of Texas-Arlington. Dessauer was suffering from severe cramps and lost, 6-2, 4-6, 6-1. He and White withdrew from their semifinal doubles match.

Jonathan Howard lost his match in the B Flight to Rain Roigas of Arkansas-Little Rock.

“We ran into some tough opponents today, including the weather,” said LSU associate head coach Mark Booras. “They came up a little short, but hopefully we can learn from these matches and build up for next week.”

The Tigers travel to the Texas A&M Invitational next weekend.
