Former Tiger Lloreda Named to SEC First-Team

BATON ROUGE — Former LSU forward Jaime Lloreda was named on the first team All-SEC squad announced Tuesday by the Associated Press panel of media voters.

Lloreda, who left the Tigers March 1, averaged 16.9 points per game and 11.6 rebounds a game. The rebound total was the best in the league and No. 2 in the nation.

Others on the first team were Lawrence Roberts and Timmy Bowers of Mississippi State, Matt Frieje of Vanderbilt, Justin Reed of Mississippi and Anthony Roberson of Florida.

On the second team were Gerald Fitch and Erik Daniels of Kentucky, Scooter McFagdon of Tennessee, Matt Walsh of Florida, Rashad Wright of Georgia and Kennedy Winston of Alabama. The third team was Chuck Hayes and Cliff Hawkins of Kentucky, Marco Killingworth of Auburn, David Lee of Florida and Carlos Powell of South Carolina.

The SEC Player of the Year chosen by AP was Lawrence Roberts of Mississippi State while Coach Rick Stansbury of State was chosen the Coach of the Year.
