BATON ROUGE — ESPN made it official on Monday, as the network’s “College GameDay,” which features and previews college football top games of the week, will return to Baton Rouge this weekend for the LSU-Georgia contest.
GameDay, which is hosted by Chris Fowler and features Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit, will make its third appearance on the LSU campus.
“College GameDay” made its first trip to Baton Rouge in 1996 as part of LSU’s game against Alabama and then returned a year later the week the Tigers upset No. 1-ranked Florida.
“College GameDay” will go live from the ramps of the Maravich Assembly Center starting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The show runs until 11 a.m. with periodic cut-ins recapping college football games throughout the day.
