BATON ROUGE — LSU officials have announced that the start time of the LSU-Wyoming men’s basketball game has been moved up to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, at the Maravich Assembly Center.
The game has been moved to allow fans the chance to see the basketball game and then get home in time to see the majority of the national championship football game in the Orange Bowl between Oklahoma and Florida State.
Tickets for the game are available on the Internet at and will be available beginning Jan. 2 at the LSU Athletic Ticket Office. Tickets are $10 each.
The game had been listed as a TBA on the LSU schedule as officials tried to arrange a way for fans to watch the LSU game and get home to see most of the football game, which kicks off at approximately 7:30 p.m. CST.
That will be the final tuneup for the Tigers prior to Southeastern Conference play against Alabama on Saturday, Jan. 6. That game time has also not been set yet as the televising network, Jefferson Pilot, will wait until Jan. 2 to determine a time which will conflict with the fewest JP affiliates carrying NFL playoff games. It is known that the game will tip off at either 12:30 or 3 p.m.
The Tigers are next in action away from the Maravich Assembly Center on Thursday, Dec. 28, at 9:30 p.m. when they take on Oregon State in the Nokia Sugar Bowl Classic at the New Orleans Arena.
