Tigers Travel to Face Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. — The LSU Tigers arrived her Tuesday night looking for the chance to show they can compete with the upper echelon as they take on the Arizona Wildcats Wednesday at the McKale Center.

The game is set for 9:30 p.m. CST and will be televised nationally by Fox Sports Net (Channel 26 in Baton Rouge and Fox Sports Southwest in Louisiana). The radio broadcast will be carried on the LSU Sports Network (Eagle 98.1 FM in Baton Rouge) and on the Internet at www.lsusports.net.

The teams are meeting for the fifth time with the series tied 2-2. The home team has won every game convincingly, including last year when the Tigers won, 86-60, in the Maravich Assembly Center.

LSU is 6-0 on the season while Arizona is 5-3, coming off back-to-back non-conference losses to UConn and Illinois. The Wildcats have traveled over 16,000 miles since the season started and this is only their third home game of the season.

LSU will have one more home game prior to the Christmas break, facing Nicholls State at 7 p.m. Friday at the Maravich Assembly Center. Tickets are on sale for $10 at the LSU Athletic Ticket Office or on game night at the Assembly Center beginning two hours prior to the contest.
