Patrick Kelly

Patrick Kelly serves as the football support and operations coordinator for the Tigers. Kelly was elevated to his current position in February of 2025.

During his three years with the Tigers, Kelly has worked in a variety of roles and helped land back-to-back Top 10 high school recruiting classes in 2023 and 2024. LSU also signed the nation’s No. 1 rated transfer portal class for the 2025 season.

Kelly, the son of LSU head coach Brian Kelly, joined the LSU coaching staff in 2022 as an offensive graduate assistant working with the tight ends. He held the position for two years before transitioning to recruiting specialist in 2024.

A 2022 graduate of Grand Valley State with a degree in interpersonal communications, Kelly spent his undergraduate career as a student assistant on the football staff working with the Laker quarterbacks from 2019-22.

Upon his graduation from Grand Valley State, Kelly, a native of Grand Rapids, Mich., joined the LSU coaching staff.

Among Kelly’s current duties include player engagement, away game travel logistics and operations, while still playing a key role in LSU’s recruiting efforts. Kelly works closely with LSU
