Malea Jackson

Malea Jackson is a graduate student at Louisiana State University pursuing dual master's degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.Ed.) and Kinesiology (M.S.) and serves as the 2026-27 intern for LSU Sport Psychology & Counseling.

She earned her bachelor’s degrees in Exercise Science and Psychology from the University of Illinois Springfield. As a former collegiate student-athlete, she understands the importance of trust, communication, and having people who genuinely understand the demands athletes face both on and off the court.

Her academic and professional interests center on identity, mental performance, and athlete well-being. Jackson's long-term goal is to become a Licensed Professional Counselor and work within an athletic department,  where she can integrate counseling and sport psychology to support athletes both on and off the field.
