Leighann Westfall is entering her first year with LSU athletics as the Executive Director of the LSU National L Club.
Having once worked at LSU before, she returns to Baton Rouge from Omaha, Neb., where she worked in special events and community relations for the Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, the Omaha Storm Chasers. Prior to joining the Chasers she coordinated and managed collegiate events for Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La. Additionally, she has worked for several years on the operations and events team for the Academy of Country Music Awards.
A graduate of Northwestern State University, in Louisiana, Westfall earned her bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Management and Tourism. During her time at Northwestern State, she was a member of the Pom Line and was awarded the title of Miss NSU, which is the school’s highest honor awarded to an undergraduate student. Most recently she earned a master’s degree from Southern Methodist University in Sports Management.
Leighann is originally from Houston, Texas, but loves to call Louisiana her second home. In her free time, she enjoys watching sports, crafting and working out.
