Competed in three races in his freshman season…Notched the highest meet finish of any freshman in 2009 when he came in 23rd at the LSU Invitational, clocking a 27:50.50, which is his personal best in the 8K…His fastest 10K time was 34:14.54, which he posted at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark.

Earned three letters in Cross Country and four letters in Track & Field under head coach Will Silk at Walker High School … Earned All-State honors in Cross Country in 2008 … Placed first in the mile at the 2009 State Indoor Track championships…Broke Walker High’s mile record with a 4:19.
