Saw action coming off the bench in 19 games during her freshman season as a walk-on … Won a National Championship.

HIGH SCHOOL
A multi-sport athlete, Izzy excelled on both the basketball and volleyball court for The Episcopal School of Baton Rouge who will walk-on to LSU… Showed the ability to score the ball during her high school career at The Episcopal School of Baton Rouge, averaging 21 points and 8 rebounds throughout her high school career… Scored a total of 1991 points during her high school career and was a three-time District MVP and a three-time All-Metro selection… In the 2020 District 8-2A title, Besselman had 18 second half points to finish with 26 total, propelling Episcopal to the victory…  She was also a finalist for female athlete of the year for The Advocate “Star of Stars”…Was also a standout volleyball player as a two-sport athlete and was a volleyball All-State player and All-Metro MVP as a senior, earning a spot on the LHSCA All-Star team.
