Qualified for the NCAA East First Round in discus throw, finishing 20th with a toss of 50.33m (165-1)… took 15th at the SEC Outdoor Championships with a toss of 49.61m (162-9) in discus… opened the season with two personal bests at the LSU Battle on the Bayou… finished sixth in discus with a PR of 51.88m (170-2) at the Battle on the Bayou, which ranks No. 10 in LSU performance-list history… recorded a PR of 14.60m (47-11) in shot put at the Battle on the Bayou to finish 11th… finished third in shot put and sixth in discus at the Battle at the Beach… at LSU Alumni Gold, finished third in shot put and fourth in discus… recorded a throw of 50.80m (166-8) to finish fifth a the LSU Invitational in discus… took ninth in discus at the Tom Jones Invitational.

PRIOR TO LSU – Midland Legacy HS
One of the premier throwers in the nation throughout high school… qualified for the UIL State Track & Field Championships in Texas for three straight years… first LHS girl to qualify for three straight state track meets dating back to at least 1985 when the UIL online records for participants started… capped off her high school career with two medals during the UIL Class 6A Track and Field State Championships in 2023… first LHS girl to medal twice at the state meet since 2019… ended her high school career with a total of three UIL state meet medals after placing second in shot put at the 2022 state meet as a junior… held PR’s of 14.05 meters (46’ 1.5”) in shot put and 50.90 meters (167’ 0”) in discus throw.

Born on May 3, 2005, in Odessa, TX… daughter of Alfred and Lori Acosta… has one sibling, Nate… plans to pursue a degree in sport administration at LSU.
