Signed with LSU as one of the premier 800-meter recruits in the world for the Class of 2007 … Was the first Jamaican to medal in the event at the IAAF World Junior Championships by winning bronze in Grosseto, Italy, in 2004 … Enjoyed further success on the international stage as she was the silver medalist at the 2003 Pan American Junior Championships while also winning a pair of silver medals at the Carifta Games in 2002 and 2003 … Also the Jamaican national junior record holder in the 800 meters after clocking a time of 2:02.64 to win a gold medal at the Jamaican National Junior Championships in 2005.
