Proved to be one of the Tigers’ top newcomers for the 2007 season … Teamed with freshman Jamaal James to form the top middle distance combo in the Southeastern Conference … Made his first career appearance in the 800 meters at both the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships … Finished 14th in the event at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a time of 1:52.12 in the prelims … Clocked an indoor personal best and NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:48.70 at the Cyclone National Qualifier … Time ranked No. 3 on LSU’s all-time indoor list in the event … Crossed the finish line in fourth place at the SEC Indoor Championships … Placed 15th in the 800 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Championships … Earned his first career All-SEC honor with a second-place finish in the event at the SEC Outdoor Championships … Clocked a new outdoor PR of 1:47.11 to move him into the No. 5 spot on the school’s all-time outdoor performance list … Also made his first career appearance at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships, finishing the meet in sixth place with a time of 1:48.37 … Earned back-to-back event titles in the 800 meters at the Sun Angel Classic (1:48.95) and LSU Alumni Gold (1:48.53).

PRIOR TO LSU
Was a four-time NJCAA All-American selection while competing for head coach Chris Beene at South Plains College … Won a national title in the 800-meter run at the NJCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 2005 … Was also a member of the national champion 4×800-meter relay that took first place at the national meet in 2006 … Also won an individual national championship in the 400 meters in his native country of Uganda … Has enjoyed great success on the international stage as he was a semifinalist in the 800 meters at the 2004 IAAF World Junior Championships.
