Became the 10th javelin thrower in the history of the LSU track and field program to earn All-America honors with his fourth-place finish at the 2008 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa … His personal-best mark of 234 feet, 7 inches set at the NCAA meet in 2008 ranks No. 4 on LSU’s all-time outdoor performance list … Competed at the SEC Outdoor Championships as a freshman in 2007 and a sophomore in 2008 … Posted a career-best third-place finish in the javelin at the SEC Outdoor meet in 2008 … Also competed in the javelin at the NCAA Outdoor Championships as a true freshman in 2007.

2008
Followed an outstanding freshman season with an even better sophomore campaign in 2008 … Earned his first career All-America honor with a fourth-place finish in the javelin at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa … Unleashed a personal-best throw of 234 feet, 7 inches on his final attempt of the competition to score five points for the Tigers … His mark ranks fourth on the school’s all-time outdoor performance list in the event … LSU finished runner-up in the team standings at the national meet … Marked the second-straight season that he earned the right to compete in the javelin at the NCAA Championships … Punched his ticket to the national meet with a runner-up finish at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships (224-6) … Just missed earning his first career All-SEC honor with a third-place finish in his specialty at the SEC Outdoor Championships (220-11) … Runner-up in the javelin at the prestigious 114th Penn Relays with a throw of 219-9 … Won the javelin title at the Willie Williams Classic (220-11) before finishing runner-up at the Tiger Invitational (223-7) … Also took part in the event at the Texas Relays (227-5) … Did not compete during the indoor season.

2007
Proved to be one of the top young javelin throwers in the country … Made his first career appearance in the event at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships … Placed 10th at the national meet after recording a throw of 212-3 in the final … Punched his ticket to Sacramento after finishing fifth at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships … Earned an automatic berth with a throw of 225-7 at the regional meet … Helped lead the Tigers to a runner-up finish at the SEC Outdoor Championships as he took fifth place in the javelin with a throw of 216-3 … Improved upon his personal best entering the season by nearly 17 feet … Moved into the No. 4 spot on the school’s all-time list after winning the javelin title at the Sun Angel Classic with a new personal best mark of 233-1 … Placed second in the event at the LSU Tiger Classic (215-3) … Took third at both the Louisiana Classics (217-8) and LSU Tiger Relays (224-8) … Recorded a total of six NCAA regional qualifying marks during the outdoor season … Did not compete during the indoor season.
