CAREER
A four-year letterwinner for the Lady Tigers during her collegiate career … Competed in the 800 meters at the SEC Championships in four seasons (2005, 2007-09) … Made a name for herself in the classroom as she graduated with a degree in kinesiology in December 2008 … Was a recipient of the University Medal after maintaining the highest cumulative grade-point average of her graduating class … Graduated from LSU with a perfect 4.0 GPA … Selected to the SEC Academic Honor Roll four times from 2006-09 … Was also a two time recipient of the Wally Pontiff, Jr. Academic Excellence Award at LSU.

2009
Returned to the team for her final season of indoor eligibility … Competed in the 800 meters and mile during her senior season in 2009 … Ran a seasonal-best time of 2 minutes, 12.30 seconds to finish 13th in the 800 meters at the SEC Indoor Championships … Also competed in the 800 meters at the SEC/Big 12 Challenge (2:12.75), New Balance Collegiate Invitational (2:13.64) and Tyson Invitational (2:12.77) … Won three event titles in the mile … Clocked a seasonal best of 5:09.70 to win the mile at the LSU NCAA Indoor Qualifier … Also won the mile at the LSU Twilight (5:12.33) and Purple Tiger Classic (5:15.38) … Was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the fourth time in her LSU career.

2008
Competed primarily in the 800 meters during the 2008 season … Scored three points for the Lady Tigers during their title run at the SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships by finishing sixth in the event with a new indoor personal best of 2 minutes, 9.32 seconds … Marked the first time in her career that she scored points for the Lady Tigers at the conference level … Recorded an outdoor seasonal best of 2:10.68 at the SEC Outdoor Championships, where she finished in 10th place … Also competed in the 400 meters during both the indoor and outdoor seasons … Ran the leadoff leg on both of LSU’s winning 4×800-meter relays at the Texas Relays and Penn Relays … Teamed with Kayann Thompson, Brittany Hall and LaTavia Thomas to clock the fourth-fastest time in school history in the 4×800 relay at 8:30.98 at the Penn Relays … In addition to the 800 meters, ran the 5,000 meters at the SEC Outdoor Championships, where she placed 27th in the event with a time of 17:49.80 … Competed in a total of 13 meets during the 2008 season … Earned a selection to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the third time in her LSU career.

2007
Concentrated primarily on the 800 meters during the 2007 campaign … Competed in a total of nine meets during the indoor and outdoor seasons … Won the 800-meter title in the Lady Tigers’ season opener at the Purple Tiger Classic with a time of 2:19.71 … Took third place in the event at both the Lobo Invitational and New Balance Collegiate Invitational … Advanced to the final of the 800 meters at the SEC Indoor Championships for the first time in her career … Finished ninth in the event at the SEC Indoor  meet with a time of 2:14.19 in the final … Clocked a new indoor personal-best time of 2:10.71 during the preliminary round … During the outdoor season, took second place at the LSU Tiger Classic (2:12.83) … Placed third in the event at the Sun Angel Classic (2:10.75) … Recorded a new outdoor personal best of 2:09.99 to take fifth place at the LSU Alumni Gold … Also competed in the 800 meters at the SEC Outdoor Championships, where she finished in 12th place … Proved to be a standout in the classroom as she was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the second-straight season.

2006
Established new PRs in the both the 800 meters (2:12.58) and 1,500 meters (4:42.80) during the outdoor season … Also posted a PR during the indoor season, clocking 5:09.17 in the mile at the New Balance Invitational … Turned in a top indoor 800-meter time of 2:14.69 at the Tyson Invitational … Won the Bayou Bengal Invitational in 2:17.89.

2005
Participated in the 800 and 1,500 meters during the outdoor season … Turned in personal bests in both events at the SEC Championships, clocking 2:13.15 and 4:44.83, respectively … Did not compete during the indoor season.

PRIOR TO LSU
A four-year letterwinner in cross country and track at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Hammond, La. … An 11-time track state champion … Won four-consecutive outdoor 800-meter titles and two indoor 800-meter crowns (2003-2004) … Won state titles in the 1,600 meters as both a junior and a senior … Helped her team to state titles in the 4×800 relay in 2003 and 2004, in addition to the 4×400 title in 2004 … Is the Class 2A state record holder in the 800 meters and 1,600 meters … Was a four-time all-state and all-district selection in track and cross country … A four-year all-state selection in cross country, she won three-consecutive Louisiana state titles from 2001-2003 … Helped the team to state cross country titles in 2002 and 2003 … Also lettered in volleyball and basketball, earning all-district honors in both all four years as a prep … Was featured in Sports Illustrated’s Faces in the Crowd … Named the 2003 Louisiana winner of the Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholar-Athlete Award … Member of the National Honor Roll, the National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars.
