Reasserted herself as one of the Lady Tigers’ top distance threats, breaking the LSU indoor record in the 5,000-meter run … Ran an LSU record time of 17:16.96ot to set the mark at Ames, Iowa on Feb. 11 … Finished seventh in the 5,000-meter run at the SEC Indoor Championships in a time of 17:17:21.73 … Ran a 13-second Indoor PR in the 3,000-meter run at the Gator Invitational, clocking her first sub-10-minute time, a 9:51.83 … During the outdoor season she finished 12th in the 5,000-meter run at the SEC Championships … Best time of the outdoor campaign in the 5,000-meter run was a 17:27.43 at the Texas Relays … Ran the second fastest 3,000-meter time by a Lady Tiger in 2000, running a 9:58.61 at the USC Invitational in Los Angeles … Ran the third fastest 1,500-meter time by a Lady Tiger in 2000, posting a 4:43.80 at the U.S. Collegiate Series in Baton Rouge, a PR in the event.
Sophomore season (1999)
Made a tremendous breakthrough at the SEC Outdoor Championships, finishing seventh in the 5,000 meter field and scoring for the Lady Tigers … Ran a PR time of 17:38.91 in the process … Had a strong indoor season as well … Nearly scored at the SEC Indoor meet in the 3,000, finishing ninth in a season-best time of 10:14.14 … Best finish of the indoor season was a third place finish in the 3,000 at the Cougar Classic in Houston, running a time of 10:19.52 … Outdoors she opened with a third-place showing in the 3,000at the SEC Quadrangular, then followed that with a second-place showing at the U.S. Collegiate Track & Field Series in a season-best time of 10:15.26 … Finished 11th in the 5,000 at the Texas Relays in a time of 17:54.06 … Placed 10th at the Sea Ray Invitational in her final 5,000 meter tuneup before the conference meet, running at time of 17:49.52.
Freshman season (1998)
Performed well during the indoor season, finishing second in the mile at the LSU Last Ditch and fourth in the mile at the LSU Twilight with a season-best time of 5:20.13 … Outdoors, she finished seventh in the 5,000 at the Arizona State Invitational with a time of 18:02.3HT … Missed most of the outdoor season with a stress fracture … Was the Lady Tigers top finisher at the 1997 SEC Cross Country Championships, placing 29th.
Prep career
Was the 1996 State Cross Country runner-up while at Dominican High School … Was also the state runner-up in the 1,500 and 1,600 during the indoor and outdoor seasons in 1996 … Was a member of the District Championship track and field team in 1994 …Graduated Cum Laude from Dominican.
