Captured four State, Regional and District titles (1997-’00) while at Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge ..champion in the pole vault outdoors in 2000 and state runner-up indoors to Daniel Trosclair in both 1999 and 2000 … He was the Louisiana state runner-up outdoors in 1998 and 1999, he was the district and regional runner-up in the event in 1997 and finished fifth at the state meet as a freshman … An All-State selection in the pole vault in 1999 and 2000 … Also a standout football player, his team won the District title in 1999 and made it to the state quarterfinals.
