Junior season (2000)
Added a pair of All-American honors to her already impressive resume` in 2000, scoring in the 60 and 100-meter dashes, the first open All-American honors of her career … Ran a season-best time of 7.25 in the preliminary rounds of the 60-meter dash at the NCAA Championships, the 10th fastest time ever by an American collegian … Finished eighth in the final … Finished fifth in the 60-meter dash at the SEC Championships, running a time of 7.40 … Opened the indoor season with three consecutive wins in the 60-meter dash, taking titles at the LSU Purple Tiger (7.43), SEC Quadrangular (7.41c) and LSU Invitational (7.42) … Ran a 7.36 in the prelims of the LSU Twilight, the mark that got her into the NCAA Championships … During the outdoor season she snuck into the NCAA Outdoor Championship field with an 11.43 she ran at the SEC Championships, then blew the form charts away … She finished fifth in her preliminary heat of the 100-meter dash but advanced to the semis … In the semifinals, she exploded out of the blocks and advanced to the finals with a PR 11.35 finishing behind only teammate Peta-Gaye Dowdie and NCAA 60-meter champion Tonya Carter of Florida State … In the finals she finished seventh, giving LSU two critical points as they mounted their remarkable surge to the NCAA title … Her NCAA finish came shortly after a fourth place finish at the SEC Championships … Redshirted in 1999.
Sophomore season (1998)
Added the second All-American honor of her career at the NCAA Outdoor Championships when she led off the Lady Tiger short relay team that ended up finishing second with a season-best time of 43.02 … Was also an NCAA qualifier in the 100 and 200 outdoors and in the 55 indoors … Ran a PR of 11.37, finishing second to Kwajalein Butler in the 100 at the Arizona State Invitational … Finished fifth at the SEC Outdoor Championships in the 100 with a time of 11.48 … Qualified for the 200 meter final and finished eighth after running a PR of 23.25 in the semifinals … Was a member of 4×100 meter relay team that won the SEC title, won the Penn Relays title and broke the meet record, won the LSU Invitational, the Arizona State Invitational, the LSU Alumni Gold Relays title, and the Tulane Quadrangular title … During the indoor season she qualified for the NCAA meet for the first time by virtue of a 55 meter time of 6.78, run at the Air Force Academy Invitational … Just missed earning All-American honors indoors, as she lost out on the last spot in the 55 meter final when broken down the one-thousandth of a second … Finished fourth in the 55 meters (6.85) at the SEC Indoor Championships … Finished second in the 60 (7.44) at the LSU Twilight … Ran her best 60 meter time, a 7.36, in a third place finish at the LSU Invitational on the first weekend of the season.
Freshman season (1997)
Progressed quickly as a freshman and became a steady and consistant performer as the season rolled on … Registered a provisional qualifying mark in the 55 meter dash with a 6.96c at the LSU Last Ditch … Made an impressive debut at the Houston Invitational, placing sixth in the 60 meter final with a time of 7.55 … During the outdoor season she became one of the Lady Tigers top performers, qualifying for the NCAA Outdoor Championships and helping them to their 11th consecutive NCAA title … Started the outdoor season with a 200 victory at the LSU Invitational in a time of 24.07 … The following week at the Florida State Relays she won the 100 meter title in a time of 11.74 … Finished third in the 100 at the USC Invitational with a high provisional mark of 11.42w … Matched that 11.42 at the LSU Last Ditch, only under legal winds … That time qualified her for the NCAA Outdoor Championships … Advanced to the semifinals of the 100 at the national meet, running 11.74 and 11.83 through the first two rounds under cold and rainy conditions … Became the third leg of the most feared relay team in collegiate track and field, the 4×100 meter relay team … Combined with Peta-Gaye Dowdie to give the Lady Tigers two freshman running the second half of the short relay … Ran the third leg on Champion 4×100 meter relay teams at the Penn Relays, SEC Championships, and NCAA Championships … The NCAA short relay title won by the Lady Tigers was their sixth straight and won in a time of 43.17 … In the semi-finals, however, they ran a season best time of 42.92, the only sub-43 second time in the NCAA in 1997 … Penn Relays relay team broke the meet record with their winning time of 43.51.
