An SEC scorer in the shot put both indoors and outdoors during her freshman season at LSU … Nearly medaled for the Lady Tigers at the SEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships held in Columbia, South Carolina, where she placed fifth in the conference with a throw of 52 feet, 8 1/4 inches … Followed by throwing her outdoor personal best of 53-11 at the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds to qualify for the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships for the first time in her career … Qualified 10th overall at the NCAA East Prelims in Lexington, Kentucky … Moved into the No. 3 spot on LSU’s all-time outdoor performance list in the shot put with her outdoor PR of 53-11 … Ended the collegiate season with a 22nd-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships while throwing 51-2 1/4 at Oregon’s Hayward Field … Won the shot put at the LSU Alumni Gold meet with a throw of 51-1 3/4 … Also threw the shot at the Texas Relays (49-7 3/4), Battle on the Bayou (51-4 1/2), Mt. Full name is Nickolette Alyse Dunbar … Born on April 5, 1998 … Parents are Karl and Pamela Dunbar … Has one brother, Karmichael II, and one sister, Mickel … Father was a standout defensive lineman on the LSU football team from 1985-89 before playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals in the NFL … Father is currently the defensive line coach with the Buffalo Bills … Brother currently plays football at Louisiana-Lafayette … An outstanding student at Whippany Park High School while maintaining a 3.5 grade-point average … Plans to major in sports psychology at LSU.
