Junior season (2000)
Was on the brink of making a serious breakthrough during the indoor season before suffering an ankle injury that would hamper her the rest of the year … Came up with a huge PR of 20-8 in the long jump at the LSU Twilight, a mark that put her into the NCAA Championship field, but injured herself in practice the following week and missed the SEC meet … She tried to compete at the NCAA Championships but was not nearly 100 percent and did not advance out of the prelims of the long jump … Top 60-meter time of the indoor season was a 7.49 in the final at the LSU Twilight … Was only able to compete in two meets during the outdoor season and was hampered by her indoor injury throughout the outdoor season.Sophomore season (1999)
Built upon a strong freshman season and became a key ingredient to the Lady Tigers’ short relay, helping them qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships … Ran the third leg of the Lady Tigers’ fastest 4×100 meter relay, a 43.40 in the final of the Texas Relays … Ran the third leg of the SEC champion short relay (43.80) and finished fourth in the 100 meter dash at the outdoor conference meet with a time of 11.67 after running a PR 11.52 in the prelims … Was a provisional qualifier in the long jump outdoors in 1999, posting a 20-5w jump to finish fifth at the UTEP Invitational … Finished third in the 100 meters at the LSU Alumni Gold Relays with a time of 11.66w … Top 200 meter time of the outdoor season came at the SEC Quadrangular in New Orleans, a time of 24.33… During the indoor season she finished ninth in the 200 at the SEC Championships with a season-best time of 24.60 … Top long jump outing of the indoor season was a 19-93/4 leap at the LSU Purple Tiger … Won the long jump title at the Cougar Classic in Houston with a mark of 19-9 … Finished fourth in the 60 meter dash at the LSU Purple Tiger in a season-best time of 7.49 … Finished second in her preliminary heat of the 55 meter dash at the SEC Indoor Championships, running a respectable 6.98, but failed to qualify for the final.
Freshman season (1998)
Was in the midst of a tremendous indoor season before suffering an ankle injury at the Canon IV Classic in Indianapolis, Ind. … Was an NCAA Indoor qualifier in the 55 meter dash with a time of 6.83 run at the altitude of Colorado Springs at the Air Force Academy Invitational … Her injury came the week after her breakthrough in Colorado Springs and set her back for the rest of the season … Earlier in the season, she finished second in the long jump at the LSU Seven Team Invitational with an effort of 19-8 1/4 … Finished fifth in the long jump at the ACC vs. SEC Challenge in Gainesville, Fla., with a mark of 19-7 … Outdoors she was limited to four meets.
Prep career
Won Class I championships in the 100, 200 and long jump in 1997 … Helped Meadowbrook High School to the Corporate Area Championship in 1997.
