SENIOR SEASON (2018-19)
Began the season with a win in the 200-Yard Butterfly against UCONN and Navy with a time of 1:51.03 … Finished third in the 400-Yard IM against Florida with a time of 4:12.21 … Took fourth place against Kentucky in the 200-Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:52.65 and finished sixth in the 400-Yard IM with a time of 4:16.97 … Touched the wall second in the 200-Yard Butterfly against Loyola and SMU with a time of 1:50.56 … At the Art Adamson Invitational, finished sixth in the 200-Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:47.36 … Against Incarnate Word and Delta State, finished second in the 200-Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:49.85 … Sam the 200-Yard Butterfly in 1:48.91 against Texas A&M to finish in second place … Finished in 18th place in the 200-Yard Butterfly at the 2019 SEC Championships with a time of 1:45.57 … Named to the Tiger Twelve Class of 2019.
JUNIOR SEASON (2017-18)
Kicked off his junior season with a victory in the 200-yard butterfly against Loyola … Touched the wall fifth in the 200 fly against Pittsburgh and Virginia … Took bronze in the 200 fly at SMU … Earned three second-swims at the Art Adamson Invitational … Made the B Final in the 200 fly, finishing 12th overall … Reached the ‘C’ Final in both the 100 fly and 200 individual medley, finishing 19th and 24th overall, respectively … Claimed fourth in the 200 fly against Georgia … Took sixth overall in the 200 fly in the final dual-meet of the season against Texas A&M … Set a new personal-best in the 100 fly in a time trial at the SEC Championships … Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2016-17)
Garnered second place in the ‘A’ final of the 200 fly, as well as two third-place finishes in the ‘B’ final of the 400 IM and 500 free at the FGCU Classic … Touched the wall third in the ‘A’ final of the 400 IM to clock the eighth-fastest time in school history at the Art Adamson Invite, as well as a ‘B’ cut time in the 200 fly to secure fourth place at the meet… Also tallied first place in the ‘B’ final of the 200 IM, swimming to the ninth-fastest time on LSU’s all-time list at Art Adamson … Tied for 13th in the ‘B’ final of the 100 fly at Art Adamson … Collected back-to-back second-place finishes in the 200 fly and the 400 IM against Alabama … Touched the wall first in the 200 fly against Texas A&M … Also picked up a fifth-place finish in the 500 free and eighth overall in the 200 IM against the Aggies … Took 27th overall in the 200 fly, 34th in the 400 IM, and 40th in the 200 IM at the SEC Championships.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2015-16)
Swam the third-fastest time in school history (1:45.42) during prelims of the 200 fly at SEC Championships to make it to the ‘B’ final … Finished 16th overall in the 200 fly at the conference meet to score points for the Tigers … Just missed making the final of the 400 IM at the conference meet with a 26th-place finish overall … In the home finale against Missouri, finished fourth in the 200 fly and touched the wall second in the 1000 free … Turned in finishes of second in the 200 fly, third in the 400 IM and fourth in the 1000 free … Secured a second-place finish in the 200 fly against Virginia Tech and Kentucky … Finished fourth in the 200 fly at the Texas A&M Invite … Named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll … Earned his first varsity letter.
PRIOR TO LSU
Ranked as the fifth-best swimmer in the Georgia by collegeswimming.com … At Junior Nationals in 2015, placed eight in the country for 18 and under in the 200-meter fly and qualified for the US Olympic Trials … Was named Cherokee County Swimmer of the Year for three straight years … A part of the Cherokee County High School state championship team in 2015 … Was the senior state champion in the 200 fly and 400 IM in 2013 and 2014 … A national and junior national qualifier … A part of the NCSA all-star team that traveled to Ireland in 2015 … Set team records in the 100 fly, 100 back and 200 free at state his senior year … Was involved in SGA Executive Board and Interact Club in high school … An AP Scholar with distinction, A Governor Honor’s program nominee and the Superintendent’s Key Scholar … Coached by Mark Schilling … Swam at Chattahoochee Gold Swim Club.
