SOPHOMORE SEASON (2014-15)
Continued to provide depth for LSU in the distance events … Finished 31st in the mile at SEC Championships … At the Texas A&M Invite, finished sixth in the mile… Finished fifth in the 100 free against Alabama and Auburn… Won the 500 free and finished second in the 200 free in LSU’s win over Incarnate Word … Finished second in the 500 free and 1000 free against Texas A&M … Earned his second varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2013-14)
Provided the top times of the season in the distance events … Scored points in the 1650 freestyle at the SEC Championships for the ninth-fastest time in program history (15:40.83) … His 1000 freestyle split in the mile (9:21.85) was enough for the seventh-fastest time in program history … Just missed out on reaching the final of the 500 freestyle at the SEC’s with a mark of 4:25.17 which is the fourth-fastest time in program history … Was LSU’s top swimmer in the 1000 free (9:26.90) against Auburn … Swept the 500 (4:34.73) and 1000 (9:25.05) freestyle events during the win over SMU … Finished the 500 free in 4:33.08 and the 1000 free in 9:22.15 for crucial points during LSU’s dual meet victory over Texas A&M … Earned his first varsity letter.
PRIOR TO LSU
One of the top swimmers out of Texas … A two-year captain and four-year letter winner … A part of the team that placed third and fifth at the 5A State Swimming Team Championships … Competed in the 2013 USA Swimming Junior National Championships as well as the 2012 Speedo Championship Series …Holds the district and regional record for the 500 freestyle … Coached by Jeremy Whitt.

Born on Aug. 19, 1994, in Pittsburg, Kansas … Parents are Ronald and Susan Dewlen … Has three siblings – Courtney, Sydney and Hallie … Majoring in construction management.
