Leaves LSU as one of the premier 200 butterfly competitors … Competed in every dual meet, the Tennessee Invitational and the SEC Championships … Departs LSU as the program’s fourth fastest 200 fly swimmer (1:47.11) … Cranked out a 11th place finish in the 200 fly (1:47.86) at the conference meet … Also competed in the 100 free, 100 fly and 200 medley relay at SEC’s … Notched a fifth place performance in the 100 fly (49.57) and a sixth place finish in the 200 fly (1:50.63) at the Tennessee Invitational … Swam the third leg of the first place 200 medley relay (1:30.88) and the front leg of the first place 400 free relay (3:02.54) against Florida State … Part of the 200 medley (1:30.22) first place finish against Alabama … Took third and fourth in the 100 fly and 200 fly, respectively against Florida … Grabbed third in the 100 fly (50.66) against Auburn …
JUNIOR SEASON (2010-11)
LSU’s leader in the 200 butterfly for the second straight season … Competed in every dual meet, Cougar Classic Invitational and SEC Championships … Barely missed qualifying for a second swim in the 200 fly at SEC’s, finishing 17th with a personal best and program top-10 mark of 1:47.11 … Also placed 20th in the 100 fly (49.07) and 36th in the 200 free (1:42.57) … Emerged victorious in the 200 fly at the Cougar Classic Invite (1:50.18) while taking runner-up honors in the 100 fly and sixth in the 200 free … Raced to an important victory in the 200 fly and recorded second in the 100 fly in a close dual victory over Florida State … Won the 100 fly in a win over American … Took runner-up honors in the 200 fly against nationally-ranked Florida and Texas A&M … Registered third in the 100 fly at nationally-ranked Auburn … Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll and lettered for the third time in his career.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2009-10)
Proved to be one of the team’s most improved swimmers and led the squad in the 200 butterfly … Competed in every dual meet, Houston’s Cougar Classic Fall Invitational and SEC Championships … Swam to 16th-place in the 200 fly at SEC’s after advancing with the third-fastest time in program annals, 1:47.46 … Also finished 21st in the 100 fly with a personal best of 48.95 and 28th in the 200 free with a lifetime best of 1:40.57 … Took third in the 200 fly, sixth in the 100 fly and eighth in the 200 free at the Cougar Classic … Won the 200 fly in a victory over UNO … Registered runner-up finishes in the 200 fly and 100 fly versus nationally-ranked foes Tennessee and Auburn, respectively … Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll … Lettered for the second time.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2008-09)
Contributed in butterfly and freestyle races … Ranked third on the team in the 200-yard butterfly … Competed in every dual meet, Texas A&M’s Art Adamson Invitational and SEC Championships … Swam a personal best of 49.74 in the 100 butterfly at SEC’s … Also recorded times of 1:43.16 in the 200 freestyle and 1:50.52 in the 200 fly … Claimed personal bests in both the 200 free and 200 fly at the Art Adamson Invitational … Swam the 200 fly in 1:49.93 to place 10th overall … Reached the wall in 1:41.56 in the 200 free to take 27th … Also finished 14th overall in the 100 fly and 21st in the 100 backstroke … Captured runner-up honors in the 200 fly against UNO at the LSU Invitational … One of two freshmen on the team to be named to the SEC Freshmen Academic Honor Roll … Earned his first varsity letter.
