Enjoyed another stellar season as one of the top 100-yard butterfly swimmers in the nation and a pivotal relay performer for the Tigers … Became the first athlete in school history to swim under 46 seconds in the 100 fly … Earned three more honorable mention All-America accolades at the NCAA Championships … Swam to an 11th-place and All-America finish in the 100 fly at NCAA’s with a time of 46.03 … Shattered his own school record in that race in the prelims with a blistering mark of 45.97 … Spearheaded the 400 medley relay team to a top-16 finish and honorable mention All-America honors with the fastest 100-fly split of the consolation final, 45.38 … Also helped the 400 freestyle team place 16th at NCAA’s with a time of 2:55.39 … Posted a fourth-place finish in the 100 fly at SEC’s for the second consecutive season with a time of 46.03, just three one-hundredths off a medal finish … Played a pivotal role on the men’s third-place 400 medley relay squad at SEC’s, recording a butterfly split of 45.86 … Also reached the consolation finals of the 100 freestyle at the conference meet, finishing 14th with the 10th-fastest time in school history, 44.08 … Swam the third leg of LSU’s third-place 400 freestyle relay team at Texas A&M’s Art Adamson Invitational … Registered a 23rd-place finish in the 100 free at the same competition … Emerged victorious in all but one 100-fly contest he competed in during the dual-meet season … Captured a key victory in the 100 fly in a close win against No. 18 Florida State, outperforming fellow NCAA qualifier Jarryd Botha with a time of 48.65 … Also topped the 100-fly field in victories against No. 24 Kentucky, Alabama, Texas A&M and Florida Atlantic … Recognized as the team’s most outstanding swimmer at the program’s annual banquet … Received SEC Academic Honor Roll recognition.

Became the fastest 100-yard butterfly swimmer in school history and emerged as one of the elite fly performers in the country … Captured honorable mention All-America honors in both the 100 fly and 200 freestyle relay events at the NCAA Championships … Shattered the program record in the 100 fly with a clocking of 46.24 at the NCAA’s … Broke his own previous-best of 46.91 set a month earlier at the SEC Championships… Also a member of the All-American 200 freestyle relay squad, which broke the school record at the NCAA prelims (1:18.46) … Played a role in the 400 freestyle relay team’s 19th-place finish at the NCAA’s … Qualified for the NCAA’s in the 100 fly at the SEC’s with an ‘A’ cut qualifying time of 46.91 seconds … His effort overtook Mattias Ohlin’s school-best mark of 47.17 at the time … Also placed fourth in that race, only 0.02 seconds off a medal finish … Swam the third leg of LSU’s third-place 200 freestyle relay team at the conference meet … Topped 62 swimmers to notch the 100-fly title at the Georgia Tech Invitational … Secured first-place in the 100 fly (49.30) in a near upset of the second-ranked Stanford Cardinal … Took first-place honors in the 100 fly versus No. 22 Notre Dame … Recorded a victory in the 100 fly at Alabama … Vital part of nine winning relay teams during the regular season … Named to the 2008 SEC Academic Honor Roll … Received his second varsity letter.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2006-07)
One of the elite swimmers on the team who made an immediate impact as a transfer … Qualified for the NCAA Championships and competed in every dual meet, the Art Adamson Invitational, the SEC Championships and the Last Chance Bulldog Invitational … Held the fastest time of the year in the 100 fly and ranked second on the squad in the 50 free … Placed 21st in the 100 fly in his NCAA debut (47.54) … Earned a berth to NCAA’s with the fourth-fastest 100 fly time in school history at the Bulldog Invitational (47.38) … Took seventh in the 100 fly championship final at SEC’s (47.99) after posting a time of 47.57 in the prelims … Swam in four relays at SEC’s helping the 400 medley place fifth (3:16.29), the 200 free relay finish fifth (1:20.10), the 400 free relay finish seventh (2:59.52) and the 200 medley take seventh (1:29.83) … Won the 100 free consolation final at the Art Adamson Invite in a season-best 45.99 and took runner-up honors in the 100 fly championship final (48.81) … Recorded four individual wins in dual-meet competition, including a first-place finish in his debut versus No. 2 Stanford … Helped clinch an upset of No. 10 Florida State with a victory in the 200 free relay … Recipient of the team’s Newcomer of the Year award … Earned his first varsity letter.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2005-06 AT EAST CAROLINA)
Arguably, the most valuable swimmer at East Carolina in his first season … Set the school record in the 100 butterfly (47.96) at the Conference USA Championships … That time ranked as the 10th-best nationally … Also owned the team’s top time in the 200 fly (1:51.92) and was second on the squad in the 50 freestyle (20.70) and 100 free (45.81) … Was a member of all five ‘A’ relay teams … Placed ninth in the 100 fly at the World Championship Trials … A five-time All-Conference USA finisher … Qualified for the U.S. Open.
