SENIOR SEASON (2009-10)
Swam freestyle, individual medley and butterfly races … Competed against UNO, Florida Atlantic and Texas A&M in the dual-meet season as well as the Cougar Classic Fall Invitational … Recorded season bests in the 200 I.M., 100 butterfly and 200 fly with times of 1:55.28, 52.49 and 1:58.89, respectively, in a win over UNO … Placed 19th in the 200 fly at the Cougar Classic … Recognized on the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the fourth-straight season … Earned his third varsity letter.
JUNIOR SEASON (2008-09)
Saw action in every stroke discipline … Competed in every dual meet and Texas A&M’s Art Adamson Invitational … Emerged victorious in the ‘C’ final of the 200 butterfly at the Art Adamson Invitational with a time of 1:54.28 … Posted a time of 1:44.68 in the 200 freestyle and a mark of 4:49.77 in the 500 free at the same meet … Registered a career best of 1:44.52 in the 200 free and a mark of 4:09.12 in the 400 I.M. against UNO at the LSU Invitational … Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the third-straight season … Earned his second varsity letter.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2007-08)
Added quality depth in many individual events … Participated in seven dual meets and the Georgia Tech Invitational … Notched fourth-place in the 200 breaststroke (2:17.79) in a dual-meet victory over Delta State … Posted a mark of 2:02.54 in the 200 butterfly in a win over Alabama… Swam the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.05 to register a sixth-place finish against South Carolina … Also recorded a time of 4:56.43 in the 500 free at the same meet … Earned SEC Academic Honor Roll honors … Received his first varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2006-07)
Contributed to the distance freestyle events … Saw action in every dual meet, the Art Adamson Invitational and the SEC Championships … Enjoyed his best meet of the season at SEC’s where he set season bests in three events … Placed 31st in the 500 free (4:48.84) and 31st in the 200 free (1:47.23) at the conference meet … Also recorded a time of 16:54.63 in the 1650 free at that meet, which ranked as the third-fastest clocking on the team all season … Named to the SEC Freshmen Academic Honor Roll.
PRIOR TO LSU
All-state and All-metro swimmer at Catholic High School … A team captain and named Most Outstanding Swimmer … Two-time state champion in the 400 freestyle relay … Also won the state championship in the 500 free … Was the state runner-up in the 200 individual medley as a senior … Named Catholic High School Student of the Year as a senior … Junior National qualifier and a four-year honor student … Coached by Doug Logsdon.
