NATIONAL COMPETITION (2008-09)
Competed at the 2009 U.S. Open Swimming Championships, qualifying for a second swim in the 50m freestyle … Placed 24rd overall with a time of 23.36 … Reached the ‘C’ final of that event with a lifetime best of 23.08 … Also finished 28th in the 100m free (51.17), 42nd in the 400 I.M. (4:34.59) and 56th in the 200 I.M. (2:08.09).

SENIOR SEASON (2009-10)
Earned four more honorable mention All-America honors in relay competition … Competed in every dual meet, the Cougar Classic Fall Invitational and the NCAA and SEC Championships … Anchored the men’s 200 and 400 medley relays at the 2010 NCAA Championships, which placed 14th (1:27.32) and 15th (3:11.61), respectively … Helped the Tigers take 15th in the 200 freestyle relay (1:19.51) and 16th in the 400 free relay (2:55.78) at the same competition … Also took 48th in the 50 free (20.28) at the national meet … Swam the anchor leg on the team’s record-breaking 200 medley relay at the SEC Championships, which took third overall (1:26.00) … Recorded an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 20.25 in the 50 free to post a 24th-place finish … Also a member of two other top-five relays at SEC’s … Finished seventh in both the 200 I.M. Enjoyed the best season of his career, culminating in three honorable mention All-America accolades … Also posted new career bests in six races and ranked in the team’s top three in four events … Helped the men’s 400 freestyle relay squad earn a 16th-place finish and All-America honors at the NCAA Championships (2:55.39)… Led the Tigers to the evening finals in that relay with a lead-off 100-yard split of 43.90 in the prelims … That mark ranks sixth in school history … Played a role on the squad’s 12th-place 200 freestyle relay (1:18.50) … Also anchored the men’s 400 medley relay squad at NCAA’s, which finished 16th (3:12.82) … Swam the second leg of LSU’s record-setting 200 freestyle relay team (1:17.82) at Georgia’s Bulldog Invitational … Recorded a personal best of 1:48.83 in the 200 butterfly to place 17th at the SEC Championships … Placed 23rd in the 500 free with a career best of 4:31.55 and 24th in the 400 I.M. One of the Tigers’ most versatile swimmers … Improved four of his top six times from a year ago … Competed in every dual meet, the Georgia Tech Invitational and the SEC Championships … Enjoyed a fantastic weekend at the SEC Championships, collecting season-best times in three different events … Posted a 400 I.M. time of 3:57.36 at SEC’s to move into fifth-place all-time in the event’s history at LSU … Seized first-place in the 500 free versus No. 18 Texas A&M with a season-best clocking of 4:34.68 … Notched first in the 200 fly with a mark of 1:54.09 in the team’s near upset of No. 2 Stanford … Swept the 200 and 500 free versus Delta State … Helped the 800 freestyle relay squad take the title at the Georgia Tech Invitational … Finished both individual medley events in the top 10 at the same competition … Secured top honors in the 200 free at Alabama with his top time of the season (1:41.32) … Earned runner-up honors in seven individual races during the dual-meet season … Received his second varsity letter.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2006-07)
An all-around swimmer who competed in individual medley, freestyle and butterfly in his first season … Tallied two LSU all-time top 10 times and recorded six team top-five season marks … Ranked second on the team in individual medley events behind Julius Gloeckner … Saw action in every dual meet, the Art Adamson Invitational and all four days of the SEC Championships … Earned a berth in the consolation final of the 200 I.M. and finished 16th overall with the ninth-fastest time in school history (1:51.07) … Qualified for the 200 fly consolation final and placed 16th overall at SEC’s in a season-best 1:51.36 … Nearly reached the finals of the 400 I.M. at SEC’s, finishing 18th with the eighth-fastest clocking in school history (3:59.86) … Helped the 800 free relay team take sixth at the conference meet (6:35.24) … Won the consolation final of the 400 I.M. at the Art Adamson Invite and finished ninth overall in the 200 free … Earned his first varsity letter.

PRIOR TO LSU
Enjoyed an outstanding four-year career at Conroe High School … Earned All-America recognition 12 times, was a 12-time Junior National qualifier and a seven-time Junior National finalist … Finished his senior season with seven All-America awards and was a two-time state high school medalist (200 and 500 freestyle) … Was the class 5A regional champion in the 500 free … Team captain of the Woodlands National Club Team … Named District Athlete of the Year … Graduated Magna Cum Laude … Coached by Tim Bauer.
