Competed in every meet during the season and also made appearances at the Southeastern Conference and NCAA Championships … Had the team’s third-fastest time (45.17) in the 100-yard freestyle which he swam at the SEC Championships … Recorded the Tigers’ fourth-best time in the 100-yard backstroke, swimming a time of 51.99 in a dual-meet against UL-Monroe and Delta State … Swam the team’s fastest time all season in the 100-yard butterfly (48.77) at the SEC’s … That time was the ninth-best all season in the SEC … Teamed with Evan Martinec, Francisco Paez, and Matthew Rucker to break the school record in the 400-yard medley relay with a time 3:13.58 at the SEC Championships … Earned All-America honors in the 400-yard medley relay … Earned his fourth varsity letter.

Recorded a “B” cut standard qualifying time in the 100-yard butterfly competition at the Southeastern Conference Championships by swimming a time of 48.32 … Owns top-five times in LSU’s history in both the 200-yard backstroke competition and the 100 butterfly event … Recorded the SEC’s sixth-fastest time of the season in the 100-yard butterfly event with a mark of 48.32 … Placed ninth at the SEC Championships in the 100 butterfly competition and 12th in the 200 backstroke event … Adds versatility to the Tigers’ squad by being multi-talented in both the backstroke and butterfly competitions … Earned his second varsity letter.

FRESHMAN SEASON (1999-00)
Competed at the Southeastern Conference Championships as a freshman in the 200-yard freestyle, 200 backstroke and the 100-yard butterfly events … Placed 12th in the 200 backstroke, 26th in the 100 butterfly and 31st in the 200-yard freestyle competitions … Recorded the Tigers’ second-fastest time of the season in the 200-yard backstroke event … Earned his first varsity letter.
