#999 Jill Thomas Season 2002-03

Thomas has decided to end her career and will not return for the 2003-04 season.

JUNIOR SEASON (2002-03)
Swam in six meets during the fall portion of the season …

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2000-01 at Maryland)
Won both the 200 and 400-yard individual medley at the ACC Championships … Swam the 200 in a time of 2:06.10 and the 400 in 4:26.31 … Both of Thomas’ times were the fastest in those events during the season for the team … Swam the team’s second-best time in the 200-yard butterfly (2:06.88) versus Penn State … Also recorded the second-fastest time in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:21.86) in that same meet.

FRESHMAN SEASON (1999-2000 at Maryland)
Thomas swam a team-best time in both the 200 and 400-yard individual medley as a true freshman … Set a school-record in the 400 IM (4:22.97) when she finished seventh at the ACC Championships … Placed 13th in the 200-yard IM at the ACC Championships with a time of 2:05.16 … Won either the 200 or 400-yard IM events seven times during the season …

HIGH SCHOOL
An all-state selection at Baton Rouge magnet … Won titles in the 200-yard IM in 1998 and the 100-yard butterfly in 1999 … A district champion in the 100-yard breaststroke … An Academic All-American … Team captain twice in her career.
