SOPHOMORE SEASON (2025-26)
Blasius kicked off her sophomore campaign at the Air Force Invitational by taking third in the 1000-free (10:37.69), seventh in the 400-IM (4:36.11), and 12th in the 500-free (5:15.26) … In the home opener against Kentucky, she placed sixth in the 500-free (4:54.12) and seventh in the 1000-free (10:14.68) … In the tri meet victory against Alabama and FSU, Blasius touched the wall seventh in the 500-free (4:57.79) and eighth in the 200-fly with a personal best (2:06.13) … Against Rice, Houston, and Tulane, the sophomore placed fifth in the 500-free (4:55.13) and 11th in the 200-fly (2:07.09) … At midseasons, she finished 12th in the 1650-free (16:55.91), 17th in the 400-IM with a season best (4:21.99), 18th in the 500-free with a season best (4:52.29), and 19th in the 200-IM with a season best (2:04.63) … Blasius notched fifth in both the 200-fly (2:10.35) and the 500-free (5:04.66) in Gainesville against Florida … At the SEC Championships, she finished 25th in the 1650-free with a season best (16:50.24), 39th in the 400-IM (4:22.91), and 44th in the 500-free (4:54.29)
FRESHMAN SEASON (2024-25)
In the first meet of the season against Texas placed eighth in 200-breast (2:22.05), seventh in 200-IM (2:06.51), and sixth in 1000-free (10:04.62) … Took seventh in 100-breast (1:05.35) and fourth in 500-free (4:59.97) at the quad-meet against Navy, George Mason, and Loyola … In the tri-meet against Houston and Tulane notched eighth in 400-IM (4:23.78) and fifth in 1000-free (10:06.15) … Finished ninth against Alabama and FSU in 1000-free (10:13.35) … At midseasons took 33rd in 500-free (4:54.86), 21st in 200-breast (2:21.71), and 13th in 400-IM with a personal best (4:17.25) … Against Texas A&M placed seventh in 200-breast (2:21.33), seventh in 200-IM (2:08.46), and fourth in 1000-free (10:08.11) … In SEC Championships took 48th in 500-free with a personal best (4:51.54), 32nd in 1650-free with another personal best (16:43.73), and 35th in 400-IM (4:18.92)

Attended the Wirtemberg-Gymnasium in her hometown of Waiblingen, Germany… Primarily competes in the breaststroke and individual medley events… She received an award for her achievement in swimming and academic success in physics

Full name is Saskia Victoria Blasius… Born on Oct. 15, 2005… When arriving on campus, her planned major is psychology… Her parents are Ruth & Thomas Blasius; she has one sister named Isabel, who is a twin… Chose LSU because “I really liked the swimming team and the campus, and I have the feeling that I can develop here athletically, academically, and personally.”
