Received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education in the Spring of 2003.
JUNIOR SEASON (1999-2000): Competed at the Southeastern Conference Championships in both the 100 and 200-yard backstroke events, as well as the 100-yard butterfly competition… Placed 24th in the 200 backstroke and finished 26th in both the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly events… Recorded the Lady Tigers third-fastest time of the season in the 50-yard butterfly event with a time of 26.09… Set a personal top time in the 200-yard backstroke event with a 2:11.04 at the SEC Championships… Earned her third varsity letter.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (1998-99): Scored points in various backstroke events throughout the dual-meet season… Competed in the Gulf States Senior Championships… Earned her second varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (1997-98): First on the team in the 50-yard backstroke event with a time of 27.66… Member of the 200-yard medley relay team that placed seventh at SEC Championships with a time of 1:46.49… Competed in both the 100 and 200-yard backstroke events and the 100-yard butterfly competition at the SEC Championships… Earned her first varsity letter.
Prior to LSU: Instrumental in helping Glenbrook North High School win the conference championship each of her four years… Won All-Conference (4 years), All-State (3 years), and the most Valuable Performer Award at Glenbrook North High School… A two-sport athlete, she earned four letters in swimming and three letters in track and field… Qualified for the state meet four consecutive years and holds numerous school records… Voted Most Outstanding Female Athlete of her senior class.
