FRESHMAN SEASON (2004-05)
Enjoyed a standout freshman season and excelled in several events … One of two freshmen who contributed significantly to LSU’s “A” relay teams … Also proved to be a reliable swimmer in backstroke events … Entered LSU’s all-time top 10 in the 200 backstroke with a clocking of 2:02.83 at the SEC Championships … Qualified for the consolation final with that season-best time … Finished eighth in that heat and 16th overall in the SEC with a finals’ time of 2:03.22 … Placed 28th in the 50 freestyle prelims at SECs (24.09) … LSU’s highest finisher in the 100 back at SECs, swimming a time of 58.24 in the prelims to place 18th … Won the 200 back versus Rice and Houston (Jan. 28) with a time of 2:06.07 … The winning swim changed the complexion of the meet and spearheaded LSU to victory … Posted a first-place finish for the second consecutive day in the 200 back versus UL-Monroe and Delta State (Jan. 29) … Touched the wall with a winning time of 2:05.44 … Nearly set a school record in the 200 free relay at SECs with a group time of 1:32.70 that placed seventh … Member of winning relay team in the 400 free against Alabama and Arkansas (Oct. 29) … Also participated in the 800 free relay … Earned her first varsity letter.
PRIOR TO LSU
State runner-up in the 100 backstroke and finished third in the 50 freestyle in 2003 state championships … North Kentucky and Cincinnati “Sports Girl of the Year” … Member of 2001 state championship team … A seven-year letterwinner in high school, having started swimming as a sixth grader … Coached by Heather Stultz.

Born July 13, 1986 in Cincinnati, Ohio … Parents are Rick and Margie Neltner … Older brother, Ross, is a forward on the basketball team at Vanderbilt … Currently undecided on a major.
