JUNIOR SEASON (2004-05)
Outstanding distance freestyle swimmer who progressed as the season went on … Posted the second-fastest times of the season in the 200, 500 and 1000 free events … Recorded a personal-best time of 1:53.66 in the 200 free at the SEC Championships, finishing 24th … LSU’s highest finisher in the 200 free at SECs … Clocked a mark of 10:28.21 in the 100 free versus Alabama and Arkansas on Oct. 29 … Earned her third varsity letter.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2003-04)
Competed at the SEC Championships for the first time in her career and fared quite well … Recorded four career-highs on the season, including three at SECs … Swam in three events with her best finish coming in the 1650 freestyle at SECs … Placed 18th in the 1650 free finals (17:10.53) … Was LSU’s second-highest finisher in the 200 free, placing 30th with a time of 1:54.35 … Time in the 200 free was a career-high … Posted the second-fastest time on the season in the 1000 free versus Texas A&M on Jan. 23 (10:26.11) … Delivered a personal-best swim in the 1000 free versus UL-Monroe to open the spring season … Won the 1000 free with a time of 10:26.40, nearly 13 seconds better than her previous best mark … Earned her second varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2002-03)
Had an excellent freshman campaign competing in 12 meets as well as the Nike Cup and Texas Bevo Invitationals … Solid distance swimmer who had her best outing in a dual meet victory versus UL-Monroe and Delta State winning the 200 and 500 freestyle events … Won the 200 free in a time of 1:54.88 and finished the 500 free in 5:09.08 … Also won the 500 free at Houston with a mark of 4:57.36 … Finished 27th in the 1650 free at the Nike Cup Invitational (17:42.48) … Posted the third-best time of the season in the 500 free (5:06.05) at the Texas Bevo Invitational … Earned her first varsity letter.
PRIOR TO LSU
Attended West Monroe High School and lettered four years in swimming and track and field … Also lettered three years in cross country … Coached in swimming by John Pittington at West Monroe … A Wendy’s High School Heisman nominee … Named the Scholar-Athlete of the Week … 2002 5A state champion in the 100 butterfly and runner-up in the 500 freestyle … A Junior National finalist in her career as well.
