SOPHOMORE SEASON (2025-26)
Qualified for the NCAA Championships, competing at the meet in the 200-fly, where she took 21st (1:55.90) and on the 800-free relay team, which took 19th (7:05.09; 1:46.16 split) … At the SEC Championships, Zambelli placed seventh in the 200-fly (1:56.53), 36th in the 100-fly (53.49), and 42nd in the 200-free (1:48.74) … Kicked off her sophomore campaign at the SMU Classic, touching the wall sixth in the 200-fly (1:55.64), seventh in the 200-free (1:47.82), and seventh in the 100-fly (53.06) … At the Air Force Invitational, she took second in both the 100-fly (55.71) and the 200-fly (2:03.35) … Placed second in the 200-fly (1:57.10), third in the 100-fly (53.49), and fifth in the 200-free (1:49.41) against Kentucky … In the tri meet victory over Alabama/FSU, she notched second in the 200-free (1:46.20), second in the 200-fly (1:55.11), and fourth in the 100-fly with a personal best (52.72) … Against Rice, Houston, and Tulane, the sophomore touched the wall first in the 200-fly with a personal best (1:53.76) and third in the 500-free with a personal best (4:51.64) … At midseasons, she finished second in the 200-fly (1:54.79), 11th in the 100-fly (52.90), 18th in the 200-free (1:47.21), and 21st in the 500-free (4:55.55); she set a personal best in the 200-free during a relay (1:46.09)
FRESHMAN SEASON (2024-25)
In her college debut against Navy, George Mason, and Loyola placed fifth in 100-fly (56.71) … In tri-meet against Houston and Tulane placed seventh in 100-fly (56.05) … Against Alabama and Florida State took sixth in 200-fly (2:00.34) … At midseasons finished 23rd in 200-free (1:49.15), 17th in 100-fly (54.20), and ninth in 200-fly (1:59.34) … Placed second in 100-fly and 200-fly (54.11) and (1:58.09), respectively … At SEC Championships took 19th in 200-fly with a personal best (1:56.24), set a personal best in prelims of 100-fly (53.46) and set another personal best in prelims of 200-free (1:47.68)

Born on Sept. 29, 2005… When arriving to campus, she plans to work toward a degree in the medical field… Her mother is Federica Santi; she has two younger siblings, Giosue and Giovanni… She enjoys traveling and meeting new people and likes to read and draw… Her parents used to swim – both participated in the Italian junior national team… Chose LSU because “I think it will be the right place for me to grow as an athlete, as a student, and as a person.”
