Opened his sophomore season at the SMU Classic, placing fourth in the 400-IM (3:58.58), fifth in the 100-breast (57.88), fifth in the 200-breast (2:05.64), and tenth in the 200-IM (1:51.80) … In the Air Force Invitational, he took fifth iin the 400-IM (4:09.19), ninth in the 200-IM (1:56.24), 13th in the 100-breast (1:00.49), and 13th in the 200-breast (2:11.36) … Against Kentucky, he touched the wall fifth in the 200-breast (2:02.26), sixth in the 100-breast (57.45), and sixth in the 200-IM (1:50.63) … In the tri meet victory over Alabama/FSU, the sophomore finished eighth in the 200-IM (1:50.62), tenth in the 100-breast with a personal best (56.68), and tenth in the 200-breast (2:03.19) … At midseasons, he notched 13th in the 400-IM (3:53.95), 14th in the 200-IM (1:50.41), 20th in the 200-fly (1:49.48), and 20th in the 200-breast with a personal best (2:00.35) … Touched the wall fifth in both the 200-fly (1:50.91) and the 200-back with a personal best (1:54.42) at Florida … At the SEC Championships, finished 26th in the 400-IM (3:52.69), 31st in the 200-IM (1:48.81), and 35th in the 200-fly (1:48.98)

In season opening meet against Texas placed fifth in 200-IM (1:51.30) and seventh in 200-fly (1:50.47) … Against Navy, George Mason, and Loyola took fourth in 200-fly (1:50.62), fifth in 200-IM (1:53.65), and eighth in 200-breast (2:08.25) … Notched seventh in 200-fly (1:48.90) and in 200-IM (1:49.26) against Alabama and Florida State … At midseasons finished 16th in 200-fly (1:48.03), 19th in 200-IM with a personal best (1:47.83), and 13th in 400-IM with a personal best (3:51.58) … Placed fifth in 200-fly (1:49.24) and in 200-IM (1:50.82) against Texas A&M … At SEC Championships took set a personal best in prelims of 200-fly (1:47.10)

Attended Keller High School in his hometown of Keller, Texas… Member of the team that won the Texas 6-A High School State Championship… The swimming team won back-to-back titles… He was a part of the 400-yard free relay team that won an individual state title

Full name is Collin Parker Quickstad… Born on Nov. 4, 2005… A native of Keller, Texas… Planned major when arriving on LSU’s campus is finance… His parents are Lora & Bob Quickstad; he has three siblings – Nate, Blake, and Gavin… His mother is a marathon runner, and his dad was a marathon runner and cyclist… Chose LSU because “I love Louisiana’s culture, and the swimming and diving team has a great program.”
