JUNIOR SEASON (2025-26)
Qualified for the NCAA Championships, competing for the Tigers on the tenth-place 200-medley relay team, which earned All-American status … Earned All-SEC honors for a bronze-medal performance on the 200-medley realy team; also competed at SECs, setting personal bests in the 50-free (20.21 50th), 100-fly (46.86 30th), and 200-fly (1:44.63 24th) … Ellis made his LSU debut at the SMU Classic, where he took third in the 100-fly (47.50), seventh in the 200-fly (1:47.03), and tenth in the 100-breast (58.40) … At the Air Force Invitational, he took the top spot in the 200-fly (1:51.85) and third in the 100-fly (49.47) … In the home opener against Kentucky, the junior notched second in the 100-fly (47.45), fourth in the 200-fly (1:45.91), and eighth in the 200-IM (1:51.40) … Against Alabama/FSU, Ellis placed fifth in the 200-fly (1:46.18) and sixth in the 100-fly (47.97) … At midseasons, he finished seventh in the 200-fly (1:45.54), 15th in the 100-fly (47.61), and 26th in the 50-free (20.25) … In Gainesville versus Florida, he touched the wall second in both the 100-fly (48.55) and 200-fly (1:48.23)
PRIOR TO LSU
Swimming transfer from Ohio State … 2A state champion in Missouri … Five-year member of Empire Kansas City Swim Club … In 2022, took top spot in 200-yard backstroke and 200-yard butterfly at Columbia Speedo Sectionals … While at Ohio State, competed in eight meets as a sophomore in 2023-24 season … Member of the Academic All-Big Ten Team in 2024 … Competed for Ohio State throughout 2024-25 season earning top-3 finishes four times across the season … In summer of 2025, notched fifth place finishes in 100-yard individual medley and 200-yard butterfly at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship
