Primarily a two-stroke swimmer who added value to the Tigers … Competed in every dual meet and Tennessee Invitational … Swam the second leg of the first place 400 freestyle relay (3:02.54) against Florida State … Posted an eighth place finish in the 100 backstroke with a season low 51.85 at the Tennessee Invitational … Made the ‘B’ final of the 200 back with a season low 1:51.31 and the ‘C’ final of the 200 free with a season low 1:43.40 at the Tennessee Invitational … Took fourth in the 100 back (52.09) and fifth in the 100 freestyle (47.06) against Florida … Finished sixth in the 200 free (1:43.56) against Auburn … Earned his third varsity letter.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2010-11)
Freestyle and backstroke contributor who also played a role in the 800 free relay … Competed in every dual meet, Cougar Classic Invitational and SEC Championships … Delivered three career bests at SEC’s … Took 20th in the 200 back (1:49.69), 26th in the 100 back (51.01) and 30th in the 200 free (1:40.29) … Also anchored the men’s eighth-place 800 free relay (6:34.94) … Notched fifth in the 200 free at the Cougar Classic and 10th in the 100 back … Raced to a second-place finish in the 200 free in a win over American … Claimed runner-up honors in the 200 free at Incarnate Word and third in the 200 back … Finished fifth in the 200 back at home versus nationally-ranked Florida … Received his second varsity letter.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2009-10)
Raced in backstroke and freestyle events before his season was cut short due to injury … Competed against Auburn and Florida Atlantic in dual meets as well as Houston’s Cougar Classic Fall Invitational … Captured fourth in the 200 free at the Cougar Classic with a season best of 1:43.93 … Posted seventh-place finishes in both backstroke events with a season best of 52.26 in the 100 back and 1:54.61 in the 200 back … Claimed third in the 200 free in a win over Florida Atlantic (1:44.68) … Earned his first varsity letter.
