Simon Freund Season 2024-25

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2015-16)
Competed on courts two through five to collect a 13-11 overall singles record … Took one win against a conference opponent with a 7-6(7-0), 6-3 victory versus Alabama’s Matthew Rossouw … Had a 7-6 doubles record as he competed with Justin Butsch, Gabor Csonka, Nikola Samardzic and Tam Trihn.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2014-15)
Was able to compete in all but five competitions for the Tigers…Showed promise as he compiled a 16-12 record in singles with the majority of matches on courts five and six…Flashed his clutch gene in the first round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament when he clinched the match on court six to advance to the conference tournament quarterfinals.

PRIOR TO LSU
Ranked as high as 110 in juniors on ITF… Amassed a singles record of 42-17 while posting a doubles record of 23-16 during his juniors career … Also played soccer in high school.

Born Sept. 28, 1996 … Son of Peter and Lin Zhang Freund … Plans to major in psychology.
