BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU baseball team, now at the halfway mark of its fall practice period, will face Samford this weekend in a pair of exhibition games at Keesler Federal Park in Biloxi, Miss., as part of the Hancock Whitney Coast Classic.
Game 1 is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, and first pitch for Game 2 is set for 1 p.m. CT on Sunday. Tickets for Saturday’s game may be purchased HERE, and tickets for Sunday’s game may be purchased HERE.
The Biloxi Shuckers, the Double-A affiliate of the World Champion Milwaukee Brewers, are playing host to the LSU-Samford matchups.
"We’re very excited to travel to Biloxi for the third straight year and compete,” LSU head coach Jay Johnson said. “Coach Tony David does a great job at Samford, and it is a quality game repetition that helps us develop our team. The Shuckers do a tremendous job of hosting, and it has become a significant part of our process of building our team.
“We have a lot of new players, so getting them onto the field against a team in a different uniform is always a valuable experience. We’re excited to see our team in this environment and continue to evaluate our players on both sides of the ball.”
