Golfer Carla Tejedo Mulet 3rd In Spanish Championship

BATON ROUGE – LSU golfer Carla Tejedo Mulet posted a third-place finish in the Spanish Individual Women’s Championship that finished on Thursday at the Royal Golf Club of La Coruna.

Tejedo Mulet, who finished T20 in the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships in Scottsdale, Arizona at 3-over 291 (73-71-76-71) and helped LSU to a T9 team finish in their first appearance since 2015, missed by just two strokes making the playoff for the Spanish title.

The native of Castellon De Plana, Spain, who completed her freshman season at LSU, recorded her 15th top-10 finish in international amateur competitions.

Tejedo Mulet posted rounds of 74-77-72-69 to finish at 4-over 292.
