Heisman Winner Burrow Among Football Graduates

BATON ROUGE – Thirteen members of LSU’s Southeastern Conference Championship football team, including Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow, graduated from the university on Friday as the school held its Winter Commencement on campus.
 
Burrow, who recently completed a week that saw him win the school’s second Heisman Trophy along with winning numerous other national awards, earned his Master’s degree in liberal arts.
 
Long snapper Blake Ferguson, a four-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll and Chair of the SEC’s Football Leadership Council, earned his Master’s in business administration.
 
Center Lloyd Cushenberry III, a second team All-America and first team All-SEC selection, graduated in sports administration as did two-year starter at cornerback Kristian Fulton. Rashard Lawrence, the defensive MVP of last year’s Fiesta Bowl victory and a team captain, earned his degree in sports administration.
 
Other football graduates on Friday include: placekicker Connor Culp (general business), wide receiver Derrick Dillon (interdisciplinary studies), linebacker Michael Divinity (interdisciplinary studies), offensive guard Adrian Magee (interdisciplinary studies), outside linebacker Ray Thornton (interdisciplinary studies), offensive tackle Badara Traore (interdisciplinary studies), punter Zach Von Rosenberg (interdisciplinary studies) and wide receiver Dee Anderson (interdisciplinary studies).
 
When the Tigers take the field next Saturday against fourth-ranked Oklahoma in the CFP National Semifinals, they will do so with a roster that features 14 college graduates.
