Tigers Travel to Missouri for Regular Season Finale

BATON ROUGE – The LSU volleyball team (15-12, 9-8 SEC) will travel to Missouri (20-7, 12-5 SEC) for the regular season finale on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. CT.  

The match will stream live on SEC Network+ Ben Arnet and Kira Larson on the call. The match will also be available via live stats at LSUSports.net.

The Tigers are coming off a four set loss to No. 14 Kentucky on Wednesday, while Missouri claimed a four-set win over Ole Miss.

Series History
– vs. Missouri: LSU is 4-10 all-time against Missouri. LSU hasn’t won since the 2014 season. Last season the Tigers fell in three at then-ranked No. 24 Missouri and fell on the road in five sets. Earlier this year, LSU fell in four sets.

In that match, Taylor Bannister led the Tigers with 19 kills. Raigen Cianciulli picked up 17 digs.

Team Notes
>> On November 10, the Tigers claimed a four-set win over No. 25 Texas A&M, the Tigers first win over a ranked team since 2014 and the first ranked win at home since 2010.

>> Head coach Fran Flory, the winningest coach in LSU volleyball history, enters her 22nd. She owns an all-time record of 493-388.

>> Taylor Bannister became the 23rd player in program history to reach 1,000 kills against Ole Miss on Oct. 6. She is the seventh player in program history to accomplish 1,000 kills in their junior season. She now has a total of 1,245 kills.

>> Against Kentucky on Wednesday, Bannister recorded her seventh career double-double of 20 kills and 14 digs. Karli Rose also had a double-double of 33 assists and 14 digs, her ninth on the year.

>> Bannister’s 26 kills against Auburn on Nov. 17  is tied for most kills in a three-set match in program history, tying Monique Adams record set in 1991.

>> Samarah Hill picked up 16 digs against the Wildcats. She finished the Sunday match at Alabama with eight kills and nine digs with a .353 hitting percentage and a career-high five blocks. Hill earned SEC Freshman of the Week on Nov. 11, her second SEC weekly honor of the year.

>> Raigen Cianciulli continues to lead the Tigers in the back row as she tallied 90 digs in the last six matches. She earned SEC Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 11.

>> Cianciulli now has 1,473 digs in her career which is 121 digs away from becoming the all-time leader in program history. She is third on the all-time list and is 54 digs away from tying Daniela Reis (1989-92). The all-time dig leader is Haley Smith (2012-15) with 1,593.

>> Against Alabama the Tigers finished with 14 total blocks, the ninth most blocks in a three-set match in program history.
