FINAL THOUGHTS FROM FLORY

On the win over Texas A&M…

This was a super big win for us.  We challenged our team to just have great composure, to be us, and to play with heart.  Statically, we went into the match knowing that in the most important phase of the game we were better than them.  We just had to take advantage of that and play with heart on defense and relentless pursuit.  I’m super proud of the effort and Samara Hill was a rockstar today.  She carried us and its pretty fun to see a freshman carry that load and make sure that we were victorious on senior night.”

On the seniors…

“These seniors have given so much to this program.  Jariel (Tureaud) didn’t get the chance because of an injury that cut her time short but she’s forever a Tiger and will always be part of our program.  She will carry the legacy of LSU Volleyball with her forever.  Anna Zweibel is one of the most diligent students, not only academically but of the game too.  She was calling every single play that was happening, standing on the sideline today and came in and played a huge role in scoring points for us.  Sydney Mukes is probably the hardest worker I have ever coached, there hasn’t been one day where she hasn’t given us everything she possibly could, and we saw that tonight.  The cool thing is Milan (Stokes) came in and kind of saved the day.  She has always been a spark, the motor, and driving force behind everything we do. I’m glad we ended in a positive way for the seniors.  This is what college athletics is all about, celebrating achievements off of the court and their future.”
