Volleyball Takes on Auburn Wednesday in the PMAC

BATON ROUGE – The LSU volleyball team (11-10, 5-6 SEC) continues its three-game home stand Wednesday, taking on Auburn (6-15, 0-10 SEC) at 7 p.m. CT inside the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

The match will air live on SEC Network with Tyler Denning and Lizzy Stemke on the call. The match will also be available via live stats on LSUSports.net.    

The Tigers are coming off a five-set victory over Mississippi State on Sunday, while Auburn has yet to win a league match, falling in all 10 they have played.    

Series History
– vs. Auburn: The Tigers own a 44-15 all-time record against Auburn. LSU has won the last three matches, claiming a three-set victory at home on Oct. 14, 2018. The last time the Tigers fell to Auburn was in 2016 on the road.

This will be the first meeting with Auburn this season. They will meet again on Nov. 17 at Auburn.

Team Notes
>> Head coach Fran Flory, the winningest coach in LSU volleyball history, enters her 22nd. She owns an all-time record of 489-386.

>> Taylor Bannister became the 23rd player in program history to reach 1,000 kills against Ole Miss on Oct. 6. She needed just 10 to reach the feat and finished the match with 19. She is the seventh player in program history to accomplish 1,000 kills in their junior season. She now has a total of 1,135 kills.

>> Bannister led the Tigers on the weekend with 36 kills. She finished with 25 kills and a career-high 16 digs against Mississippi State, her fourth double-double of her career.

>> Samarah Hill picked up her third double-double on the season, racking up 17 kills and 15 digs against Mississippi State on Sunday.

>> Allee Morris stepped up for the Tigers against the Gamecocks, tallying 10 kills, which was the most she has had since her career-high of 13 kills at Tennessee.

>> Raigen Cianciulli led the Tigers in the back row over the weekend, tallying a season-high 29 digs against Mississippi State. She now has 1,383 digs in her career which is 211 digs away from becoming the all-time leader in program history. She is now in fourth place on the all-time list as she just passed Luciana Reis (1990-93).

>> The Tigers had three players finish with 15 or more kills against Mississippi State (Bannister 25, Hill 17, Milan Stokes 16), which is the first time since the 2017 season the Tigers have had three players reach 15 or more kills.

>> Three players finished with 15 or more digs on Sunday against the Bulldogs (Cianciulli 29, Bannister 16, Hill 15), which was the first time since last season that three players had 15 or more digs.
