LSU Mourns Loss of Keyth Talley

Baton Rouge, La. – LSU mourns the loss of former LSU track and field sprinter Keyth Talley, who passed away on Oct. 23, 2019

“We are saddened by the passing of our teammate, friend, husband, and father, Keyth Talley,” head coach Dennis Shaver said. “Our thoughts are with his family. Keyth was a Tiger through and through.”

Talley graduated from LSU in 2012 with a degree in sports administration and had been working as the sprints coach at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. During his two years of sprinting at LSU, Talley was a member of the 4×100 meter relay squad that claimed a national title in 2011 with a time of 38.38; he earned three All-America honors during his LSU career.

Keyth is survived by his wife, Alicia Talley; daughter, Laila Talley; son, Kylan Talley; sisters, Keirsten Payne and Kaelony Talley; brother, Jayson Talley; nephews, Alijah and Aiden; parents, Keith Talley and Mia Talley; step mother, Stephanie Talley.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, at The Pinnacle of Praise Baptist Church in Round Rock, Texas. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m.
