Former Golfer Bradley Advances To LPGA Q Series

BATON ROUGE – Former LSU golfer Elise Bradley fired a second consecutive under par round to advance  out of Stage II qualifying for the LPGA Tour Thursday with a 10th place finish at the Bobcat Course of the Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Florida.

Final rounds of 68 on Wednesday and 69 on Thursday helped advance Bradley to one of the most important events that the Mandeville, Louisiana golfer has had a chance to play in to date – the two-week, 144 hole LPGA Q Series that will take place at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

The event will start this coming week, Oct. 23-26, at Pinehurst Course No. 6 and continue on Pinehurst No. 9, Oct. 30-Nov. 2. The top 45 players and ties will receive status on the LPGA Tour in 2020. There is a cut after 108 holes (6 rounds of the series).

Bradley, who played at LSU from 2013-16, has been playing on the Symetra Tour and no matter the outcome of the Q Series, will have top status on that tour in 2020.

Bradley posted even par rounds of 72 on both Monday and Tuesday and was hovering around the qualifying cutoff of the top 35 and ties after 36 holes, but the 4-under 68 on Wednesday which featured five birdies and just one bogey on the Panther Course, brought her inside the number.

Thursday she finished with a flourish, playing the front nine last where she had four birdies, including on the last two holes to shoot 69 and finish in tenth place in the overall competition from a field of 185.

Bradley started this journey in late August, posting +2, 290 to advance from the first stage of qualifying in California.
