Lima, Peru – Juan Celaya-Hernandez closed out the Pan American Games Sunday by earning the silver medal on the Three-Meter Springboard.

Celaya-Hernandez earned a total of three medals throughout the Pan American Games. He claimed the gold on the One-Meter Springboard after diving to a score of 435.60. He followed that up by winning the Three-Meter Synchro with his partner Yahel Castillo, diving to a score of 429.81 to win by over 15 points. On Sunday, Celaya-Hernandez earned the silver on Three-Meter by diving to a score of 458.30.

“I am very excited for the international success Juan has achieved,” said LSU head diving coach Doug Shaffer. “He has established himself as one of the top divers in the world. Juan has his sights set on Tokyo and this experience is invaluable moving towards that goal.”
