COLUMBIA, Mo. – The 11th-seeded LSU women’s tennis team will face 14th-seeded Mississippi State on Wednesday, April 16 at 10 a.m. CT in Columbia, Mo., in the first round of the SEC Tournament.
The Lady Tigers are currently 12-12 (3-10 SEC) on the season, while Mississippi State holds a 9-14 (1-12 SEC) record.
Last time out, LSU swept a doubleheader with Arkansas and Jackson State. After falling to the Razorbacks in doubles, four Lady Tigers captured singles victories to secure a 4-1 win. LSU then topped Jackson State 4-0 to conclude its regular season.
The Lady Tigers currently hold a 27-10 series record against the Bulldogs after defeating Mississippi State 4-3 on March 21, 2014. In this match, four courts were decided in three sets with Abigail Owens clinching the match in a thrilling three-setter.
