BATON ROUGE – After defeated a tough South Carolina team on Senior Day, the LSU volleyball team will close out its home schedule on Wednesday evening, hosting No. 24 Missouri at 6 p.m. in the PMAC.
The match will air live on ESPNU with Missy Whittemore and Melissa Lee on the call. + Fans can access the match online through WatchESPN.com and the app. The match will also be available via live stats at LSUStats.com.
Series History with the Field
The Tigers trail the all-time series against Missouri, 8-4. The Tigers fell in straight sets in the last meeting in Columbia, Missouri on Oct. 26. The last time the Tigers defeated Missouri was on Nov. 21, 2014 in four sets.
Team Notes
>> The Tigers will play one final match in the PMAC on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. vs. No. 24 Missouri.
>> It will be the final match for four seniors in Lindsay Flory, Katie Kampen, Toni Rodriguez and Olivia Beyer. These four seniors has the highest GPA as a class in LSU volleyball program history, holding a 3.864 cumulative GPA. The class has also done their part off the court, totaling 573.4 hours of community service.
>> LSU is coming off a thrilling five-set victory over South Carolina by scores of 25-16, 25-20, 22-25, 19-25, 17-15.
>> Milan Stokes and Taylor Bannister led the Tigers with 18 kills apiece. Raigen Cianciulli picked up a match-high 29 digs, while Flory finished with a double-double of 60 assists and 14 digs, her seventh on the year.
>> Bannister is ranked sixth among the league in kills per set at 4.15. She is also fifth in points per set at 4.59.
>> Prior to the Florida match last Friday, the Tigers hit .290 in the previous four matches. The Tigers got 14.3 kills per set and 16.1 digs per set.
>> Cianciulli has a career total of 998 digs, just two digs away from 1,000 mark. If she reaches 1,000 this season, she’ll be the fastest player to reach the 1,000 dig club in program history. She is the 16th player in program history to join the 1,000 dig club.
>> Cianciulli ranks second among the league in digs per set at 4.84. The Tigers also rank second in the SEC in digs per set at 15.73.
>> Head coach Fran Flory is in her 21st season at the helm of the LSU volleyball program. The winningest coach in school history, Flory has led the Tigers to NCAA Tournament appearances in nine of the last 13 seasons.
