BATON ROUGE, La. – The 2018 SEC television and streaming scheduled was announced for the LSU softball team and the Tigers will be featured nationally 13 times, the most in program history for regular season, with 26 home games scheduled to be streamed online through SEC Network+.
Games will be featured throughout the season on the ESPN family of networks, with more than 50 games schedule for the SEC Network alone.
The Tigers open up their season against Illinois-Chicago on February 8 before hosting the Tiger Classic which features UT-Arlington, Southern Miss, UMass and Syracuse.
The first appearance on national television for 2018 will be on March 10 when the Tigers take on Auburn on SEC Network. The final game of that series will broadcast on ESPN2. All three contests at Kentucky will be televised with the first and third games on SEC Network. The second game of the series will be live on ESPNU.
When the Tigers travel to Tennessee, they will be seen on ESPNU for the April 13 matchup and on ESPN2 for April 14. A home contest with Texas A&M will air on SEC Network on April 22 before traveling to Florida for a marquee matchup that will air on SEC Network for game one and ESPN2 for games two and three.
The final regular season games against Arkansas will broadcast live on SEC Network May 4 and 6.
For the fourth-straight year, SEC Network is slated to air every first and second round game of the SEC Softball championship May 9 and 10. The semifinals will air on ESPNU on May 11 with the championship slated for ESPN on May 12.
Any games picked up and moved from streaming to a television network will be announced closer to the date of the contest.
